We reached out to John in May about hopefully getting our house repainted before our son‘s graduation party in June. It was badly in need, and he was able to shuffle some things and get us scheduled and completed a week before the party. Outstanding job! John came over soon after I called. Explained exactly what we wanted and was assured No problem. Jason as hot on it and acknowledged everything we brought to his attention - even when we chose a bad color, no problem, only half done with hallway- easy redo. Well that was before the weather got better.Now it's time for outside painting jobs and an up tic in Real Estate/Auto sales. Our job was now hurry- hurry- hurry. Painter was now needed elsewhere, but Tom ( who we had never met and supposedly was the Finish Man) was going to come over between other jobs and right the wrongs. Now I acknowledge there were some previous builder related issues- that were Spoke about during original conversation, again at that time was assured No problem- We see it all the time.However- That is not an excuse for paint trays left on top of kitchen cabinets, missed areas on top of cabinets,paint spatter on carpet in very room, dust on top of damn near everything, poor cut in lines,what I call The Little Dipper on living ceiling (several things under paint- in that constellation pattern), paint on finished wood work, paint on light switches/receptacles and 1 accident- halogen light that fell over and burned hole in carpet. Some notes: for this job- Nothing- was on the walls- all items removed- stored in Pod outside. Only things in the way were the Agreed items that were " Supposedly " no problem. Hire them now. We just bought a house built in 1890 that has been through it all. It's been rented so long that the walls were left in "interesting" shape with layer after layer of white paint, just covering things left in the walls. We called Hoffman based on reviews we found and got a good estimate right away. We were lucky to be assigned Jason to do the work. We wondered why one person was sent as it would take longer, but once he got working it was clear things were going to be amazing. And amazing it is. He took time to go over each and every spot to prep it just right for the paint. There was unique caulking on the window and door frames, but his skills of the craft created straight lines. I've never seen anyone work so carefully when painting rooms in a house. It was like he was painting his own home. The end result is a home who now shows the charm of what it once was. I worked with John from Hoffman Painting to get the exterior of my house painted. I am really happy with the work his team did. As you can see in the attached photos, the before and after is amazing, it completely transformed the house. I had trouble finding a contractor to fix some of the exterior work prior to the painting, and John was able to connect me with someone who was able to do it. The last few years I had tried to work with other unreliable companies to get this done, and they kept pushing the timeline back and never ultimately completed the job. Very happy customers! John provided a great exterior home painting experience. He came to assess our home in 2023 where we discussed the quality of our cedar siding, what colors would best suit our style and the house itself, and what would be included in the service. I submitted a web request to Hoffman Painting on a Saturday afternoon about painting my old kitchen cabinets, and John responded shortly after. He asked for photos and called me back the same day with a reasonable quote. Ryan came the following weekend to carefully remove all the hardware and doors. Most of the doors were glass and he carefully wrapped them all in bubble wrap to take them back to the shop. By the end of the week he came back with beautifully painted cabinet doors and then painted the fronts of the cabinets and drawer fronts. Ryan is very detail oriented and made sure everything looked perfect. He is very professional and reliable and cleans up after himself. I am very happy with the results and the whole experience. If you are looking for a painter that is responsive, punctual, communicative, and easy to work with throughout the entire process, I definitely recommend Hoffman Painting. It is not easy to find a contractor that returns calls or web requests. My only regret is not finding this company when I bought the house last summer and needed all the interior walls and ceilings done. I will be calling John again for the next project.
