I worked with John from Hoffman Painting to get the exterior of my house painted. I am really happy with the work his team did. As you can see in the attached photos, the before and after is amazing, it completely transformed the house. I had trouble finding a contractor to fix some of the exterior work prior to the painting, and John was able to connect me with someone who was able to do it. The last few years I had tried to work with other unreliable companies to get this done, and they kept pushing the timeline back and never ultimately completed the job. Hire them now. We just bought a house built in 1890 that has been through it all. It's been rented so long that the walls were left in "interesting" shape with layer after layer of white paint, just covering things left in the walls. We called Hoffman based on reviews we found and got a good estimate right away. We were lucky to be assigned Jason to do the work. We wondered why one person was sent as it would take longer, but once he got working it was clear things were going to be amazing. And amazing it is. He took time to go over each and every spot to prep it just right for the paint. There was unique caulking on the window and door frames, but his skills of the craft created straight lines. I've never seen anyone work so carefully when painting rooms in a house. It was like he was painting his own home. The end result is a home who now shows the charm of what it once was. Hoffman Painting is more than just a painting contractor. They saved us from spending an outrageous amount of money to replace the cedar siding on our home. Jason, the foreman on the job, was meticulous with his all brush work, patching all the woodpecker and carpenter bee holes in the wood siding before putting on the first coat of paint. Our house is 36 years old, and this is the 4th time it has been painted. The first two contractors used paint sprayers, which didn’t apply a very thick coat. The back side of our house is full sun, so the cedar siding absorbed the paint quickly. Jason restored the siding by painting the tongue and groove seams during the first coat. During the second coat of paint, he used his nail gun to reattach the loose siding, closing in the gaps. The difference is amazing. Bear in mind that all wood siding shrinks over time, but the attached pictures will show you that you would never know it. We also had ceiling and skylight leaks that had interior wall damage requiring more than a simple repaint. Tom did an amazing job with the repairs and repainting. As the job progressed, our window metal frames looked pretty beat up, so we asked John Hoffman for a quote on repainting them. This also turned out as a great improvement. I submitted a web request to Hoffman Painting on a Saturday afternoon about painting my old kitchen cabinets, and John responded shortly after. He asked for photos and called me back the same day with a reasonable quote. Ryan came the following weekend to carefully remove all the hardware and doors. Most of the doors were glass and he carefully wrapped them all in bubble wrap to take them back to the shop. By the end of the week he came back with beautifully painted cabinet doors and then painted the fronts of the cabinets and drawer fronts. Ryan is very detail oriented and made sure everything looked perfect. He is very professional and reliable and cleans up after himself. I am very happy with the results and the whole experience. If you are looking for a painter that is responsive, punctual, communicative, and easy to work with throughout the entire process, I definitely recommend Hoffman Painting. It is not easy to find a contractor that returns calls or web requests. My only regret is not finding this company when I bought the house last summer and needed all the interior walls and ceilings done. I will be calling John again for the next project. I worked with John from Hoffman Painting to get the exterior of my house painted. I am really happy with the work his team did. As you can see in the attached photos, the before and after is amazing, it completely transformed the house. I had trouble finding a contractor to fix some of the exterior work prior to the painting, and John was able to connect me with someone who was able to do it. The last few years I had tried to work with other unreliable companies to get this done, and they kept pushing the timeline back and never ultimately completed the job. However, John was reliable and completed the work in a professional and timely manner. Overall, the quality of the work was top notch, he was reliable, timely, and very easy to work with.
